In the 1920 federal census of Chicago, Andrea Ingrassia, 55 (b. 1865), his wife Maria, 54 (b. 1866), son Benjamin, 14 (b. 1906), son in law John di Puma, 28 (b. 1873), and daughter Carolina, 21 (b. 1899), live at 1016 Cambridge Ave., Chicago. Andrea emigrated in 1900, his wife and daughter in 1901. Benjamin was born in Illinois. John di Puma emigrated in 1915. Andrea and John di Puma are railway laborers. Maria and Carolina are seamstresses working from home. Benjamin is an office boy in a law office.[4]
John di Puma, age 48, of 5014 Wabansia Ave, Chicago, becomes naturalized on 14 June 1940.[5]
John dies at the age of 68 on 12 August 1959 in Chicago. His birth date is confirmed in this record. The funeral home is listed as The Montclair Funeral Home and he is buried at St Joseph Cemetery.
